The Wings Appeal supports the whole RAF family, whether's it's the current serving members of the RAF, or a young family missing their loved one who is overseas or if it's simply a WWII veteran wanting a shoulder to lean on, the Wings Appeal is there to support them all.

Further to this, The Team will act as ambassadors for the Wings Appeal and will spend time at the Wings Appeal stand at public air shows and also at RAF friends and families days.

The Royal Air Forces Association will raise its profile by engaging with the public. The charity will produce unique merchandise which will be avilable to the air show visitors and coupled with this, the pilots will be there to meet and greet the public.

Further to this, The Blades are proud of two more very important partnerships. SELEX-Galileo is proud to be using 2Excel aviation as a platform to test and evaluate their equipment in order to gain strategic direction of future equipment requirements. It is a lasting partnership that is hopefully going to build in the future.

The most recent partnership The Blades have formed is with quality watch makers Seiko Lorus and they will benefit from the Brand Association that comes with being partnered with a world class team. The Lorus Product Development Team will develop aviation time pieces in consultation with The Blades pilots and will use The Blades brand on new watches in 2011

The Blades are sporting a fantastic brand new blue livery this year and the Wings Appeal will benefit from a unique relationship. The aircraft are fresh and uncluttered and will deliver expectional cut-through using all forms of media. Perhaps most importantly of all, our title sponsor can drive The Blades' annual programme directly to their target audience.

AIR SHOWS. In the UK, air shows are the second most attended outdoor event after football. Audiences cut across demographic and socio-economic divides, giving up their leisure time to spend (on average) 4-6 hours at such events. The Wings Appeal logo will be seen by millions and airshows are influential platforms that will boost the image of The Wings Appeal.

The Blades fly at least 50 public air displays for the Wings Apeal, engaging huge audiences with their heart-stopping displays, ground activity and surrounding media coverage. Carrying the Wings Appeal logo in front of crowds that have come specifically to watch the aircraft, the Royal Air Forces Association is the content, not the advertising filler. The Blades are an exceptional way to engage target audiences wherever their sponsor sends them.

HIGH PROFILE EVENTS. As a world-class team, The Blades can take their title sponsor’s brand to new heights as they display their unique wow-factor at some of the world’s most high profile events. Examples of these special displays range from the Beckhams’ pre-World Cup Party and the Cannes International Advertising Festival, to Formula 1 Grand Prix races and Cowes Week. Further to this, this year The Blades have already been used by two BBC programmes which will be aired later in the autumn - this is another great way to raise the awareness of the Wings Appeal.
